About Me

Introduction

Hi, I’m Nils, a 22-year-old Data Science and Machine Learning (ML) engineer based in Barcelona, Catalonia. I recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Artificial Intelligence from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and am currently pursuing my Master’s in Data Science at the same university.

Outside of research and engineering, I enjoy reading, playing tennis, and competitive chess.

What I Do

I focus on architecting reliable, high-performance computing and machine learning systems:

  • Agentic AI & LLMs: Multi-agent architectures (LangGraph), LoRA fine-tuning, and clinical reasoning evaluation on MedQA benchmarks.
  • Deep Learning & HPC: Distributed Transformer vision training on the MareNostrum 5 supercomputer (BSC).
  • Computational Neuroscience: Decoding perceptual conscious states from multi-channel EEG signals using Spatio-Temporal Graph Neural Networks (ST-GNN) and Foundation Models (LaBraM).
  • Software Quality & Automation: Enterprise automated testing suites (Java) in regulated in-vitro medical diagnostics at Werfen, graph analytics at Sparsity Technologies, and full-stack product development with Vegan Tools.

Managing requirements traceability and verification with Jama Connect, and developing automation scripts to accelerate QA cycles under ISO 13485 regulations.

    • Automated graph data extraction and ingestion pipelines, executed complex graph queries for competitor intelligence, and applied statistical text analysis.

    • Co-developed SinergIA: an agentic multi-expert system with LangGraph boosting baseline Gemini accuracy on MedQA by +3% via diversity modeling and LoRA fine-tuning.
